Copied/pasted from chq lounge...

Beware of of some Comair folks...
About a week ago I was trying to nonrev home on a CVG-MCO flight. The flight had 4 seats open and I was the 5th person to be listed. 2 of the nonrevers were pilots and one had listed to jumpseat, which meant that freed up one seat for me. Well I go to check in for the flight and the Comair pilot who is also waiting sees me and my CHQ ID. Next thing I know he says to the gate agent "I dont feel like jumping, I'll take a seat in the back" He then looked at me and smiled. Just to add insult he asked the gate agent if anyone didint make the flight becuase of it. I ended up shelling out almost a $100 bucks for a hotel room that night. Just a word of advice, hide your ID in CVG.

since chatauqua is a Delta code share, you should be able to sit in the front. What was the problem??? sounds like flame

Hey atleast it wasn't an AirNet pilot this time!!

T-Gates,

I could use some more cow bell, I mean really explore the space!

I know I am not Bruce Dickenson, but "Anybody can fly a round airplane".

I believe the original complaint came from a Flighrt Attendent who make less than 20,000 a year.

Axel,

Sorry to hear your situation. You got screwed. I gave up a First Class seat for an S-4 (Buddy Pass Rider) to get them on and hitched a ride in the front. The seat wasn't as comfortable, but it got another employees friend or relative home.

Karma people!!!!!!

Whats the point of the original post? Trying to claim that everybody at Comair is going to jump at any chance to screw someone at CHQ? It was ONE Comair guy, not "some Comair folks". It was kind of a tool move on the pilots part but it was within his rights. He doesn't HAVE to sit in the jumpseat. If she doesn't like getting bumped off of a Delta flight as a non-rev, maybe she should stop commuting or accept the reality that she's going to get screwed eventually and miss a flight or two. Deal with it. I'm getting really tired of SOME of our flight attendents who think the world owes them something just because they believe they're underpaid and overworked. Whaaaa!

He probably saw your ID and decided he would make you sit on the jumpseat. Bottom line he didn't do anything he's not entitled to do. Maybe it wasn't courteous but it's his choice.

That's the way this industry works. Perhaps your poster should grow thicker skin of get out of the industry. Seniority rules, she should have gotten hired sooner.

As much as I despise the CHQ and Mesa pilots (as a group), I would have taken the jumpseat to get a non-rev on board (at least on a relatively short flight such as CVG-MCO). It *is* the proper thing to do. Though I don't commute, I think it is important for us to assist each other when it comes to non-revving. It's hard enough as it is.

Though I despise Comair pilots as a whole, had I been there I probably would have resisted the urge to pull this guys head through his anus because that would have been improper.

Corbon

I guess you wouldn't understand a sarcastic remark if it slapped you in the face.

Let me explain it to you..

Someone says... Though I despise Comair pilots as a whole...
I say (as a Comair pilot) We don't like you either.

Do you see it?? It's called sarcasm you fumondacheese licking putz.

I take that as a yes.

Gettin cranky from all that gear swingin?

Unfortunately the text formatting capabilities of this software provide for no sarcasm format. Therefore it is up to each of us to try to detect sarcasm is it's raw format.

Wow....to think I actually wanted to fly for you Highschoolers at Comair back when I lived in CVG........Hey Y'all still hiring ??? :-)

At least we aren't the cause of this freeze.

This is a delaying tactic to allow you guys (and Mesa) to catch up with us. And if I'm not mistaken, even with a freeze, we'll still get paid more than you. Yup, just compared the numbers, it's true.

Remember, for you to be "slightly lower" (to win growth), someone still has to be the highest. You aren't helping us or yourselves by low-balling. But hey, you got your "scope." So no excuses the next time! Right?

Funny thought. If you were to compare the demographics between the two, I have the feeling you would see more "kids" at CHQ. But because you have more "mature" (oh yes, I can see the responses now...bring it on) group at Comair, we know what it takes to raise a family and the pay people are agreeing to just ain't cutting it.

Yes, you may get to fly a shiny new jet at the age of 24, but I can assure ya, that couch at your friend's house is going to get mighty old. For those of you who think 60-70 thousand is a lot of money...you obviously haven't set up a budget taking everything into account.

Oh my, perhaps I should rethink my postion.

LOL! That was pretty funny.

Seriously though, monkeying around with someone's ability to non-rev just isn't right.
