Just curious, what types of goals do you have to meet to advance in tier? I'd like specifics.

OK, so I guess X was willing to take the time to type all that out...some additional comments:

SIC pay is roughly 58% of PIC for your respective level. As X mentioned, levels are roughly years of service, so you can advance in pay even if the company's goals aren't met. If you are doing well (ie postive annual review), you'll advance in Level. If you AND the company are doing well, you will advance in level AND tier. You can advance thru the levels at an accelerated pace, but I wouldn't worry about those details until you get hired.

We are currently on Tier A, as the policy just took effect Jan 1, 08, though we are on target for advancement to Tier B next year.

Questions, Comments, Concerns?

Is there anything I can do to help myself get an interview other than keeping the application updated? I think XO has tremendous potential for future growth and now would be an excellent time to get on there.

1. Be smart how we use our expense policy. Don't buy an $80 bottle of wine on the company credit card for your personal use.

2. Be smart how we use our rental car policy. Don't return the car with less than a full tank of gas.

3. Be smart on how/where we purchase fuel. Don't top off just to get the Atlantic Bucks.

Pretty basic stuff, really.

Sounds awfully subjective to me. I wonder if things like, not arguing with management about MX issues, being flexible relative to duty time, always answering one's phone regardless of duty status, doing OT whenever it is requested are also involved.

Not picking a fight here brother just curious.

Not working here, I can understand why you might see it that way. You are way off base however.

The only "arguing with management about MX issues" would be if they thought you were carrying pocket squawks. We write it up when it happens, and that comes from the Top. As far as the OT issue, I wish there was more available. There is always someone that wants it. And, our off time is our own. Turn you cell phone off.

Well, thats good to hear, I hope it stays that way for your guys.
