I hear things at NJA are great...

Maybe if the thread starts this way it will end up a thread about XO. Fingers crossed, for informations sake.

You can find a lot of general info on XOJet at FracPilots.com (no it's not my site). It doesn't talk much about the lifestyle aspects though.

www.fracpilots.com

Shows starting salary as approx $52,000. There is a company card that is used for meal expenses as opposed to per diem

XOJet does not exist. It is a fictional company that is trying to scare NJA, FLOPS, FLEX, and CS.

If it really existed their pilots would be on this board bitching about something.:D

OK? Why should you be scared? XO Jet is out there and right now their focus is building foriegn markets with the US expansion to come. I believe that is correct with 52,000 for F/O pay and 90,000 for Capt. first year.

Sorry Fly2AK. Next time I post I'll be sure and put up a HUMOR REQUIRED ALERT preceding and following the message.

OK...answers...

#1 There currently isn't a payscale on the internet, as it's quite complicated, and with the personalities on here that are quick to throw insults, I don't feel like explaining how it works 50 times. The pay is good, as a PIC you'll be at 6 figures within just a few years, tops out at 145 (not including overtime). NJ has a better pay scale, I'll admit, but ours isn't anything to laugh at.

#2 Yes, all travel to/from work other than your domicile is paid for by XOJet.

#3 Yes, we have company credit cards for meals, hotles, rental cars, etc. No per diem, we don't want it.

#4 Upgrade all depends on how good you are and what the company's needs are. Upgrades are slowing, but they aren't done in seniority order. The quickest upgrades tend to run about 6 months from DOH.

#5 Be yourself. Nothing to prepare for. Mostly situational questions, and any tech questions you get you should be able to answer without studying. If you can't brief an approach without preparing for it...I suggest you apply somewhere else.

As for complaints...our biggest complaint lately has been not getting all of our hotel points. In the grand scheme of things, we've got NOTHING to complain about.

Hope that helps!

1. Ok, Here are the numbers for Captain, and I believe copilot numbers are 58 percent of captain.

I can't seem to post columns. Hopefully, you will be able to make sense of my sad attempt at a table. Tiers start at the left and move right. Tiers are achieved when the company and pilot group meet certain goals. Once the pilot group progresses to a new tier, the old tier is permanently retired. Levels are basically years of service.

Level Tier A Tier B Tier C Tier D
1 90,000 93,000 95,000 97,000
2 92,000 95,000 97,000 99,000

2. Company buys your airline ticket just like Netjets.

3. Yes, the company provides us with credit cards.

4. Upgrade is on an individual basis depending on experience. Qualified individuals should upgrade in 6 mo's to a year.

5. The interview is not overly technical, and there is no sim ride. Just be yourself.

I heard someone say "they would rather work at Flexjet than at Netjet"! Imagine that!!

OK, so I guess X was willing to take the time to type all that out...some additional comments:

SIC pay is roughly 58% of PIC for your respective level. As X mentioned, levels are roughly years of service, so you can advance in pay even if the company's goals aren't met. If you are doing well (ie postive annual review), you'll advance in Level. If you AND the company are doing well, you will advance in level AND tier. You can advance thru the levels at an accelerated pace, but I wouldn't worry about those details until you get hired.

We are currently on Tier A, as the policy just took effect Jan 1, 08, though we are on target for advancement to Tier B next year.

Questions, Comments, Concerns?

Is hiring going to resume soon?

Just curious, what types of goals do you have to meet to advance in tier? I'd like specifics.

Is there anything I can do to help myself get an interview other than keeping the application updated? I think XO has tremendous potential for future growth and now would be an excellent time to get on there.

1. Be smart how we use our expense policy. Don't buy an $80 bottle of wine on the company credit card for your personal use.

2. Be smart how we use our rental car policy. Don't return the car with less than a full tank of gas.

3. Be smart on how/where we purchase fuel. Don't top off just to get the Atlantic Bucks.

Pretty basic stuff, really.
