In 2021 as a new owner of my first airplane, experimental at that, where I'm the "builder/manufacturer" after my one week and final build visit of 2 days, I had a lot to learn, and am still learning. Frightening as my Air Force days I had a crew chief and a maintenance shop which I trusted without a concern. Now it's all on me. So in the world of aircraft ownership and maintenance I was surprised that CubCrafters does not notify owners by mail or email when a service bulletin comes out that affects my aircraft. Granted, aircraft change owners, but there are forms that could be used to register ownership just like with ELT's. So it's all on you to chase down service bulletins and keep your aircraft safe and in compliance, etc. etc. For example, for my FX-3 I have to check the link below periodically.

With Lycoming I'm pretty sure I signed up somewhere for notifications and have received those at times. So check into that as well.

Share your tips for aircraft ownership as you think of them as many here, like me, have a lot to learn.

Thanks Neal, it reminds me to check that occasionally. My Wig Wag seems to be operating without problem - I think I'll leave well enough alone.

My Wig Wag seems to be operating without problem
I think that one is misleading. Having upgraded my landing lights I'm well aware of the new wig-wag controller as I fried the one that came with my plane which is no longer available hence why CC has a bulletin on how to retrofit the new one they're using from WAT. That should be more of a service instruction should you need it if your wig-wag goes bad and you have to use the new one supplied by CubCrafters (or WAT).
