One of my coworkers was just rescheduled on an IAH to ATL flight, and was told "the regional airline you were on is now out of business". He says he doesn't remember the names, or if she even told him what they were.

Any ideas what she's talking about?

Did Independence Air pull out of IAH, perhaps? I dunno if they were ever in IAH to begin with, but that thought occurred to me. Or perhaps she was looking at a former Skywest flight number/time that is now Colgan?

I dunno ... just curious. When he said "out of business" I wanted to make sure no one I knew here and liked was losing a job. If I didn't like you guys ... I wouldn't care and I would have made puddle-jumper jokes.

I ask ... because I care. :D

Funny, I'd think it'd be tough to make puddle-jumper jokes from the Captain Seat of the mighty Cessna 172. You know, while juggling the trim and the mic, etc. ;)

Ahhhhhhhh ... you'd be thinking wrong then, Captain Buttplug. I have moved up the aviation food chain, sweet-pea. I am no longer flogging the mighty rental Skyhawk for my corporate slave-drivers. Rather, I am now mastering the mighty Alarus CH2000 which has a real live GPS, switchable tanks, and wings way down low ... just like a real airplane. I #@$^ing rock!

Of course ... it also has two less seats. :(

Independence Air has never operated out of IAH.

did air wiskey ever do iah-atl for
airtran? or maybe Ryan?If so I would
say that some one needs to update
their flightguide...

there seems to be alot of shuffeling
of which regional carrier is doing what for
which mainline for how much going on
right now in addition to the spring/summer
sked changes.

Probably just another genious that has
their finger on the pulse of aviation...

No and no. In fact, Air Tran serves HOU and does not now nor have they ever served IAH.
