X/C Time -Banner Towing....

Okay - let me throw a question out there... According to Group 3, can you log x/c time for banner towing? You're up there for hours on end, passing numerous airports over 50nm from point of departure. What do you all think??
Read 14 CFR 61.1(b)(3)(iv) and apply it to the fact pattern. I'd say that you can.

This may be a bad comparison, but how would banner-towing over 50 nm be different than AF or Navy air-to-air refueling? I'm sure that counts as cross-country for those pilots.
