Tweaking my resume and just wondering:

Regarding cross country time, do employers want to see >50nm, or all point to point?

Depends on what job you are going after. If you need to prove that you have 135 mins for CC point to point I'd say just list it all under Cross Country. What kind of jobs are you looking at?

Yes, I do keep track of each (I let my logbook software do it, actually). Greater than 50 nm for certification purposes. All point to point for 135 minimums, etc.

This is the generic pilot resume. The kind I'd like to give to the local 135 operation, pt 91 operator, etc. Usually this kind of thing:

TT 1100
PIC 1000
Cross Country 250
Instrument 90
etc, etc

some operators want ATP XC, so its good you're keeping track of both (regs vs. insurance). I just read in my CFI renewal that you don't have to land >50nm away for it to be considered towards ATP XC, you just have to fly that far.

nobody will ever question or argue about your xc time (at a job or on a checkride) if you only put 50nm trips. If you have 1000 hours xc and 1100 total, but all your xc time was from your airport to one 10 miles away, someone might question it.....just keep it simple, stay with the 50nm xc and you'll be fine....

I personally track both and recommend that my students do the same...the career students anyway.

For the weekend warrior, I just tell them it's easier to log the 50nm stuff.

...this way I can tell the insurance my actual cross country time which is much higher than my "certificate" cross country time.

Helps for 135 too....that time is coming up soon for me, I hope.

I only keep track of XC's over 50 NM I am at 422 hours of XC's over 50NM right now and after next week should be almost 500.

You are a ferry pilot, its always over 50NM! :)

When I was building my time for my commercial I would make every flight a 50 mile XC...I might have a few hours, probably 10-15 that are less than 50NM "Part 135" XCs.
