Does anyone know the Vmca speed for the CRJ? (I know there has to be one for certification, but nothing published in the books I have). Trying to study for an upcoming interview and this is a question that may be asked.

the only reference we have to it is a statement saying

"....Vmca is below Vr...." when describing the rotation on a V1 cut.

93 & 97 kts come to mind, dont quote me on it though.

I don't remember seeing a Vmca. I'm sure it exists and would be taken into account when figuring Vr.

I got this from the SkyWest student study guide: 'V1 must not be greater than the rotation speed (Vr) and must not be less than 1.05*Vmcg.' 'V2 is equal to 1.2*Vs (Flaps 15) and must not be less than 1.1 Vmca.'

I went through Comair's whole systems ground school and this was never presented or asked. That should tell you something.

good question...here is another just to see what kind of a response I get.

Which engine is the critical one??

Vmc

It's listed in the AFM, (the big Bombardier version) but you have to dig for it. 93 kts. comes to mind and 84 kts. Vmcg
