Hi all, I'm a newhire at PSA and looking for the Emergency Memory items and limitations on the CRJ, just trying to get a little bit ahead. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks!

my guess is they are on the EPC if you can get a copy of them?

how many memory items does PSA have? i think ASA and Mesa has 30+, but eagle has 5.

10 memory items.

Not being a smart a$$ mullet, god i love mullets anyhow we got a tps report limiting the crj to 37000 after the crash and i was wandering is that everywhere or just at circus airlines AKA pinnacle

We don't have that restriction, but we got a copy of a report that emphasized the importance of consulting the high/low speed buffet charts and other performance charts when crusing above FL270.

The info at that link is not a good reference for the guy coming to PSA. Some of those memory items are only Immediate Action Items (read and do) for us, and some of the others are worded slightly differently. I didn't look at all the limitations, but some are outdated, like the flaps 8 and 20 speeds.

These are the memory items you need to know for PSA and they are spot on.

1.rejected takeoff

2.double engine failure

3.smoke removal-

4.electrical smoke or fire-same as smoke removal

5 air conditioning smoke -same as smoke removal

6 stab trim runaway

7.emergency decent

8.assymertrical braking

the two missing-

9. Configuration Warning
1. takeoff......................discontinue immediately

10. Aileron System Jammed
1. Autopilot..................disengage
2. aileron controls(both)...release pressure
3. roll disc.................pull,turn,lock
4.airplane control.......transfer to pilot with the operative aileron

hope it helps

Does Bombardier set limitations or is it up to the individual Airlines?

Just curious because I see 5 limitations in Mullet's post that are different than the one's we have at ASA.

Thanks to all for the help! Glad to be here and excited to get started, been through 121 training before and know the sooner you burn these into the brain the better. Take care!

Manuf. sets the limitations of any a/c. Operators can impose more restrictive limits if it wants. then of course there is the scenerio that if the airline wants more generous limits, and it has a slightly more generous pocketbook, it can get the limits changed. Boeing and MD did this pay for more all to well. EX: alot of 727's came out of factory with standard MTOW and MLW or MZFW's but if an operator down the road ponied up a nice hefty check, the airplane was suddenly blessed with higher weights, no changes to the aircraft just a paper change in the applicable AFM. Though I did notice alot of the upgrades was also dependant on what line number the aircraft was too.

Homer 6242, What is your class date? I am also a newhire.

And all you need to know for the sim is to remember to say, "Set Max Thrust" when something goes bad, and "Correcting" for when you screw up...and it'll all be ok.

Comair has a bunch without GPS. They just use DME/DME for the FMS.

Yep. We use it for OOOI times, text messaging with dispatch and digital ATIS, but we can't get the clearance through ACARS.
