Rode on a 200 the other day and it seemed to be kinda long in the tooth.

Whats the design life of a CRJ?

Wonder how long will they last as they seem to average a huge number of cycles compared to hours flown.

SkyWest has a couple of them with over 30,000 hours. I think aircraft 403SW is closing in on 35,000hrs/ high 20K cycles. Not sure how long their good for.

About two years ago.

There are DC-9's out there with over 100,000 hours on them.

I seriously doubt any Stretch Challenger will make it to 100,000 hours, because most will have 85,000+ cycles on them at that point...

CRJ was built by the Canadians which is as good as being built by the French, so they don't have much life left.

DC-9 operated by NWA -
N921RW has 104500+ on it, N923RW has 103300 + on it , n915rw, n918rw, n916 rw, n922rw all have 100,000 plus hours on them.

N915rw is stored.

There are about 9 Crj 200 with 30K+ hours on them, mostly operated by Comair and Skywest
