I always thought it would be pretty cool actually to be "stuck" in Europe for a week. Good time to explore.
The same goes for the European crews hanging out in Cali or New-York...not too bad!
 
Suck it up... Right... Last year the differants between the goverment daily per diem rate and what CAL paid me in per diem was $11,065.... Yep 11K

Avg goverment per diem rate overseas $120 a day, CAL pays $48...

You do know you can deduct that right? Not that it is the same...but you would get some back.

I would be happy to recommend a tax guy who can help you with that matter.

I think it would take a revolt of all airline employees to help us all with this matter...I wonder if the Euro crews in the US get the full M&IE rate as published by their governments? And what the Euro airlines are doing for their crews.
