Crewpass and Cass; What's the dif?

CASS is also serving the airlines interest, more chances for their pilots to get to work.

Crewpass doesn't really do much for the airline, what do they care if you have to suffer through "aggressive" patdowns?

We just need to get all the executive level managers and above to get put through the body scanner, then post their body scans online--tiny pee pees and all--or have them groped by the TSA every time they fly...I wonder how long we would go without crewPASS?

CASS went through so fast because the super-cubical-pilots benefited because they Jumpseat to. Super cubies don't go through security ever because they only do turns out of their base where they are all badged and therefore bypass security. Creewpass will happen when/if cx/delays become rampant.

Cass does not mean someone goes to the cockpit,. The would be cabin riders only.

Wrong. Here's the dirty little secret about CASS. The COMPANIES determine who the put in CASS. A UAL crew found that out recently.

The CSA ran down at the last minute saying she had a FedEx jumpseater who she had cleared through CASS. The Capt. neglected to check for a license/medical. Passing through 10k they soon realized the FedEx guy wasn't a pilot, but a courier.

On top of that, there is at least one airline who has entered EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE on the payroll into CASS.

So, beware out there...always ask for that ID, License and Medical.
