Crew hotels in any Carribean Islands

Trying to get list of hotels that have crew discounts to plan a little Valentine gettaway. Anywhere within few hours of Florida.

Industry Rate

We get a crew discount @ Marriott in Grand Cayman, but airfare from the states runs in the 400+ range, unless you can JS (American, USAir, Continental go there) Rate with the crew discount for a standard room is still 180 US. Temp right now is in the 75-80 F range.

A few months ago, we stayed at the Westin Lucayan Resort in Grand Bahama. They gave us a pretty decent discount (140 per night). I think they are about 70 F this time of year. Someone told me there is a high-speed ferry that runs from Ft. Lauderdale for about 100 per person.

A little tip, most hotels will give crews what they call the "industry rate". Most of the time they won't ask for ID, but have it ready. High end hotels and resorts often have blackout dates for their discounts during peak season (right now in the caribbean). Call and ask them to fax you a rate schedule, then plan your vacation accordingly. A few days can make a huge difference. Be sure to ask for the "industry discount", as the front desk personnel may not know what a "crew rate" is.

When I went down to Grand Cayman I stayed at a rather nice place. It was a room with a kitchen that had all the dishes and all. It was not ocean view. But it was about a two minute walk to the water. Very nice hotel.

I think the room rate was 70 or 80 bucks and there was no black out dates. If you want I can check on that for you.

no crew hotels..just a turn for us...i have stayed at the wyndham sugar bay in st thomas...they give 1/2 off for airline crew and its all inclusive..most airlines serve stt from the mainline us...i think the last time i stayed there with my wife it was around 220/night, all meals, tips, top shelf drinks inlcluded..another option is the radisson cable beach..i also got 1/2 off the all inclusive option...nice hotel in nassau!

also.try www.perx.com for some other stuff..they deal with airline people all the time

I'm not sure if it's good for all airlines or not (looks like it is though), but I used Open Skies for a heavily discounted trip to St Thomas a few months back. It was the low season, so it cost me about $270 pp for three nights/four days in a decent hotel on the beach, space A round trip included.

Nassau Beach Hotel Bahamas
OK, it's not the Atlantis...but for $75 bones/night...it's not that bad.

Yes it's true, they have crew rates. The catch is that only a small percentage is allocated towards the special rate...I tried twice and they said the rooms were all booked up.

Cancun has various hotels that have crew rates.

The best thing to do: ask mainline pilots where they stay at resort type destinations. US Airways, American, Continental and United seems to have better route structures to resorts. Delta doesn't seem to have too many routes to Latin America or the Carribean when compared to other airlines.

Jump on US Airways out of PHL, BOS or CLT and go to Aruba... Stay at the Holiday Inn Sunspree.. They give Airline Employee's a good rate... This is the on-season.. so its about 140 a night.. But it a big hotel, on the nicest beach in Aruba... Had a blast last year with the honey... Going back again next Friday.. Come on Down...

Marriott Frenchman's reef had a rate of $99/night last spring in St. Thomas. Very nice hotel. Check the ASU travel guide.
