We are going more and more to on-line training. What is the industry standard for credit for on-line training? And what are the ramifications if crewmember does not complete their on-line training by a certain date?

JetBlue gives 5 hours of online credit pay each year.
We get it on the paycheck after our anniversary each year.

Which by the way, doesn't come close to paying you for the number of hours you put in just for annual recurrent training. Then if you throw in (like last year) we got 4 hours of pay to cover 30+ hours of online manditory training. It is a total ripoff. Something we need to work on.

The main problem with online training/computer based traning is you have to do it on your own time and some of it is very bandwidth intensive. Thus Highspeed internet is a must (dial-up won't work). At JetBlue we have our aircraft systems training available now on our company laptops so we don't need the internet to do it (which is a big plus).

Just my opinion......
