Crazy Rumor

I just heard one of the craziest rumors just the other day and I thought I would share it with the board. Rumor has it is that Mesa is planning on buying Chautauqua and possibly another regional carrier. I just wanted to post this to see what everyone's reaction to this rumor is and if there is any truth to this at all. My dad was on a Mesa ERJ when the passenger sitting next to him (An Executive with US Airways) mentioned this rumor.

I would have to say that rumor is probably 99.9% False. We just got a TA and in it includes scope, which once finalized should prevent Johnny O from buying other airlines to use against the Mesa Air Group or starting up another alter-ego. I don't think that Wexford would sell Chautauqua after they just inked a deal with Delta and are hiring like mad to keep up with deliveries.
