Updated: Five Now Confirmed Dead in Plane Crash
Five people were killed in a small plane crash in eastern Hamilton County this afternoon.

The Georgia Cumberland Conference of the 7th Day Adventist Church has now released the names of those killed in the crash.

They are: -- Jamie Arnall, the communication director for the conference.

-- David Cress, the president of the conference.

-- Jim Frost, the conference executive secretary.

-- Clay Farwell, the assistant to the president.

-- The pilot, John Laswell, was reportedly a former pastor in the conference.

The co-pilot Jim Huff is in fair condition at Erlanger Medical Center.

The plane was registered to the Georgia-Cumberland Conference of the Seventh Day Adventists. The plane was reportedly flying the officials to a regional pastors' conference in Knoxville.

The Cessna 421 crashed two miles north of the Collegedale Airport. Airport manager Frank Zarski said the Knoxville-bound plane crashed because of engine failure. Check back to wrcbtv.com and Channel 3 Eyewitness News for the latest information on this developing story.
