The cowl screws CubCrafters use seem quite soft, guessing they're aluminum. I have spares but does anyone know the source of these? There are 4 long ones and the rest are standard. I'd love to know where to get them should I decide to replace them more frequently if I had a bulk supply on hand.

Stainless and available from Aircraft Spruce. I don't have the size or part number at home. Measure the ones you have.

Don't use a fast electric driver on stainless screws that use captive steel locknuts. The screws may gall. The grip of the locknuts is very variable. A tiny application of anti-seize may stop the tight ones from galling the screws.

I have spare screws and washers in case I drop one in a hangar floor crack. None damaged.

edit to add: CubCrafters sells a screw kit and includes the individual part numbers -

I only use the manual screwdriver, no electric tools.
