In its lawsuit (EEOC v. SkyWest Airlines, Inc., N.D. Ill. No 07 C 4925), the EEOC alleges that SkyWest discriminated against three former employees by subjecting them to sexual harassment by a co-worker and then firing them in retaliation for complaining about the hostile workplace, all in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Had heard some people talking about this. Their thoughts, not mine were that they would not put it past 3 people trumping up a story about one.

Not much in the way of released facts on this story yet.

He said, she said! However, there are some interesting stories about trumped up charges and terminations circulating about this work environment. Knowing the influences and culture, the herd could be thinned out for those who were not in step. However, to some degree, that is the way it is at every company. And, maybe, why not? It's part of the the Team Concept! Those in charge, decide who is on their team and in step with the Vision! EEOC laws are just a small hurdle.

Which is why representation by an entity recognized by the NMB would be nice for some more than others (depends if you are one of the chosen ones).:p

It goes on at union carriers which I know for a fact. If you're not part of the good old boys club you get sacrificed.

Yeah, but you don't just get canned though. And then have to fight with your own funds to get your job back.

This is an excellent description of SkyWest Management and some of the very senior pilots at SkyWest.
