The article states that the stewardess unlocked the lav from the outside...I didn't know that was possible! How do they do it? I've never seen a key hole.

Ancient Chinese secret........Can't speak for all planes, but on the ERJ's if you lift the little silver sign on the door that says "lavatory" (i think thats what it says), there is a slide latch that will unlock the door from the outside. I was flying the aircraft 2 years before i knew that :)

All airliners built in the U.S. have this feature. I think it's required.
From the article:
The man had Beckham-style blond hair and wore a white jumper and blue jeans. His companion had bleach-blonde hair and was in a dark outfit.
What's up with this? A fashion report in the middle of a shag story?

Doesn't count if you don't get your cookies. Hmmm...perhaps another poll item. I say blue balls don't count. Other thoughts?

Yep, at least one of you have to get your 'reward' to make it official.... and yeah, there is always a way to get the lav door opened. Need to be able to get incapacitated people out and bust smokers.

I can't believe that this made the news. Happens all the time, especially on red eyes when nearly everyone is asleep. My wife wanted to join on the way back from Hawaii, but I had been identified as an airline pilot by the F/A crew, and chickened out. Maybe next time.

i would not call this news especially since it was posted on the suns (a tabloid) website.

but it is a funny story. if that happened to me i would just laugh....

About that lock thing .... after years of traveling, I finally noticed that quite often the FAs will flick the cover up and lock the lavatories prior to takeoff, so the lav in-use sign goes on. Guess it stops peeps being tempted to move around.
