A difference that I think you'll find is pretty much academic at this point. My original response was aimed at refuting your "you're just another contractor" assertion, which was accurate on one level (i.e. all the pilot groups that are employed by Delta Inc. operate under a contract - Mainline, Comair & ASA) but inaccurate in your context (there is no difference between the DCI contractors and the wholly owneds). I do know that some members of you pilot group like to cling to that notion, for primarily ego-driven reasons, but once again, merely an academic difference.FDJ2 said:Well if you mean the mainline, I agree we haven't got any of the RJ flying yet. Delta is able to find cheaper labor elsehwere. But you are mistaken if you think that the mainline is "owned" by Delta Air Lines, Inc., because the mainline is Delta Air Lines, Inc., it is not a wholly owned subsidiary like AA is to AMR.
It wasn't a retreat tactical or otherwise. I just grew tired of irrelevant banter. Your mind is made up, so is mine. When you say something that I think is misleading or inaccurate, I will challenge it again. I suspect you will do likewise. It will be settled when there is a final ruling of the courts or an agreed settlement on the part of ALPA.FDJ2 said:Smart tactical retreat Surplus.
