Coul,d Orlando be a new virtural base for AirTran?

I had a senior AirTran captain on my jumpseat the other day and he said that Orlando is going to be a new virtual base within a year. Has any AirTran guys heard this rumor and how likely is it?

Our union said no during recurrent lunches due to virtual bases having virtual rules but also figured that since the merger is a done deal we would have a MKE base. The union also mentioned we were getting a great contract that other airlines are jealous of despite being unable to mention one. Based on everything that the NPA has said before then yes we will have a virtual base in MCO next week w/ side letters already signed allowing the company to pay us only 35 hour gaurantees and we will agree to $20 rates. The reason being some would not have to commute and that is worth giving up your paycheck.
The good news is that ATL is moving alot of dirt near 10/28 for a new parking lot for all of our future 737 deliveries. They will become a new exhibit called What happens when a done deal goes down the Crapper. Is the bar still open?

One more thing, just b/c someone is senior does not mean they are getting more info than the junior guy. They might be exposed to more gossip due to knowing more people ex - Lear70 is a junior FO at AAI but knows more about the TA than any senior guy flying today and more than our NPA president.
