Anyone know how many corporate shuttle operations there are?
Someone mentioned this in a previous thread and it got me thinking about it.

Not sure if these compnaies still operate shuttles, but...

1) Phillip Morris (from TEB using the Avro Jet?)
2) GE (BBJ from HPN)
3) Ford or GM has a shuttle to Europe (not sure of aircraft type)
4) The Limited Stores used to operate a shuttle from TEB on a Challenger SE (more or less a CRJ)
5) For some reason, I'm thinking Kodak had a shuttle too.

Ford has F70's at DTW....

Corning has D328's at ELM....

Wachovia has 1900's at FTY....

Intel has some ERJ's flown by EJM out of SJC...

There are a bunch

AOL charters an ACA CRJ from IAD-TEB daily.

LimitedBrands (limited stores) uses a CRJ also.

DaimlerChrysler uses a corporate Airbus319 to/from Germany.

I believe Intel uses 3 ERJ's.......i don't know from where to where though.

Makes you wonder if these shuttles hurt the airline biz in their respective markets.

What does the "shuttle" part mean? I'm guessing it's taking the important people from one place to the next? Out and back by the end of the day or what?

More like a regional that flies between the same two places (but not necessarily all the time) from once to how ever many times a day, whith whomever needs to go.

BellSouth has a DO-328 that runs between FTY and BHM at least 4 times a day. I think they recently hired someone, too.

Phillips Petroleum has a 737 shuttle between Anchorage, Fairbanks and Deadhorse.

I remember reading about some computer company (Hewlett Packard?) who had a twin ottor flying back and forth between two of thier locations (San Jose and someplace else??) It sticks in my mind because some woman jumped out while in flight.

HP did have a Twin Otter, don't know if it still exists...

Peabody Coal has a 1900 or two, and a few King Airs running Denver-Flagstaff-Grants (NM), with a bunch of other points in between.

General Dynamics has at least one 1900 that has a regular run down to Virginia (Newport News, I think) from Groton, Conn.

I think (it may not be) Quest Diagnostics had an Twin Otter and they do 2 round trips a day, don't remember where to/from though, I believe it was RDG-TEB, but that may be wrong.

Intel operated one, then two Bandeirantes with a shuttle from Sacramento Executive to San Jose in the early 90s. The flights were usually two per day with the occasional noon roundtrip thrown in when they were busy. This was a contract deal through Patterson Aviation. In about 1994, well after I left, they changed over to EJM with Jetstreams out of Mather since it was closer to their facilities. Not sure what the ERJs do, but they do have facilities in Oregon and they had always talked about adding shuttles up there as well.

At that time Hewlett Packard operated an Otter between San Jose and Roseville ( not sure the exact airport ). They also had regular runs with the Sabreliners up to Oregon.

The good part about that job was that I got to buy the donuts and muffins for the morning flights, thank god Krispy Kreme didn't exist in California at that time. ;)

An oil company flew a Dash8 from Houston Hobby to Oklahoma on a schedule in the mid nineties, and still do as far as I know. If memory serves, the company was Conoco, but could have been Philips.

M&T Bank runs a shuttle between BUF- MDT- AOO- PNE- BUF two times a day, 5 days a week- Executive trips on the weekends >that was always fun in the winter months....

I think USA Airports is now running the show with a 200. Doing this twice a day royally $ucked but you build time fast.

Intel has 4? ERJ's running from Hillsboro, OR to San Jose, CA and also has a couple Beech 1900's running from Hillsboro, OR to Olympia, WA and back.

Polaris runs two king airs from Flying Cloud to their plants in Roseau, Oceola WI, and I think Spencer IA. A 200 and an E90.

They use a Dornier 328 JET
I was gonna mention that I thought someone told me the 328J I saw in INT one day was Phillip-Morris ... but I wasn't sure.

About Avros ... there used to be one (-200?) from time to time in INT parked where Pace's 73s and 75 are often seen, in front of the old terminal. Anyone know the story with it? It was kind of strange seeing one here, and I was also surprised at how large they are.
