Anyone have any info on Corporate Airlines? They are a private company, and their website doesn't have much info.

Curious what the current upgrade time is, total pilots, fleet plans, any new routes anytime soon, pilot turnover (anybody leaving to go elsewhere), and 2004 hiring plans.

I'm just curious, thanks.

Corpex is doing ok right now. We are currently around 90-95 pilots and are supposedly gearing up for some expansion on the east coast. As for the upgrade it is anywhere from 2-3 years right now, however our chief pilot has said in general conversation that there are pilots who we haven't hired yet who will be captains within a year of being hired. My personal opinion agrees if we get the east coast cities we are trying to get. The majority of our pilots are great as well. Overall not a bad place to get some excellent 121 IFR time and move on. I have been happy here and thankful for my experience. If I can answer any other questions PM me.

Er, well, ASAbound was correct, but the
newest rumor is that the RDU deal is
dead, so no east coast cities and there
is no telling what the hiring we have done
is for, if not for that...or what the future
of the newbies is, let alone the prospect
for upgrading.

Most of the people that have been there
for more than a year are trying to leave,
but the industry is really slow...turnover
is slow, but not by the choice of those
in the pilot temp pool!

This is based on rumor but as is the case
with most of the industry management is
not telling their "valued employees" a dang
thing.

We have had people leave to go to Mesa
if that tells you anything...

Corporate Airlines Hiring?

I was interviewed in Feb. (early) and recieved a letter a week later offering me a spot in the hiring pool, but have not heard one word about a training class or anything. All calls and e-mails have not been returned?? What gives? Should I be looking elsewhere?

I know they have hired a whole heck of alot, with many already thru training or been given a class date. I cant imagine that all of this is for attrition, but I cant imagine where the growth is going to be.

Great pilot group at Corporate, I enjoyed working with those guys and gals. I hope the long-rumored expansion in RDU does happen, if only for the sake of more upgrades for the FOs and more pilots on property. If the group gets big enough, maybe they can get some union from ALPA or Teamsters help to stop the BOHICA and get the people their much-deserved, definately earned raises!!!

Best of luck on getting hired!

If you look closely, the chicken on the tail is solid blue, and it says AmericanConnection on the side instead of AmericanEagle.

sky whores!

Please, tell me you're joking, right? A few guys flying some ragged-out J-Balls to EAS cities that used to be TWA destinations? YGTBSM.

Rumor update...

new hire classes were to continue through
june...latest (I repeat) rumor is that the
current class will be the last one for the
forseeable future...

keep your resumes current and out there!
You could get lucky and get a class date...
somewhere else!

Yeah, and AE does hate us...I don't know
why they feel threatened by a company
flying airplanes they dumped ten years ago
and can't afford cockpit posters of a RJ,
but they act like we (and TSA and CHQ)
are gunning for them. I can't speak for
the other two American Connection carriers,
but corpex is too broke to pay attention,
let alone threaten a giant like AE!

Again, this is all based on rumor/s, and
nobody is telling us anything...

To your questions:

1) Who were you calling/emailing?

2) SOP

3) YES!!! So is everyone else!
