I've had models made of every aircraft I've been typed in, 10 to date, all have been made through Anderson Fine Scale Replicias, except the last, and that was with Pacific Aircraft (
www.warplanes.com). Pacific custom made my plane for me, hand carved out of mahogany and painted in company colors, for $310, including shipping and a stand. The airplane measures about 18 inches long and 16 inches wide.
The last model I ordered from Anderson's was never produced. I paid them $325 upfront and they never delivered the airplane or gave me my money back. Anderson's ended up selling their business to a guy in Dallas, Griffin Aerospace, but like me, there are probably 999 other customers looking for refunds or an airplane from Griffin, so good luck getting something from him.
I'll be ordering another airplane from Pacific very soon, they do great work and they produced the model within 12 weeks. I'm sure Sporty's is produced elsewhere, all they do is add on $100 for their services, so go direct to the manufacture.
