When I use to fly cargo at night around the mid west we always heard TURBO DOG, that always sounded cool, I Guess they are a cargo operator flying lears out of FWA. I have not heard the call sign for a while.

Who does "Elvis?" Me thinks they operate out of somewhere near BNA or MEM.

Elvis is the Tennessee Air Nat'l Guard out of MEM. They fly C5's.

On the other end of the spectrum: a few years ago, the T-38's at Randolph had a number of callsigns, including "Gaze". Of course, it sounds like "Gays" on the radio. I was issued that callsign once, and refused to fly with it until the supervisor gave me a new one.
