Convair operator in ohio

A friend of mine called me to tell me about a convair operator that I should apply to. He didn't say the name. Anyone have an idea who this could be. I think he said they are based in CMH.

Jeez. I just read the whole Air Tahoma thread. That sounds like the place my friend described equipment wise. Don't think I will be flying there any time soon...make that ever.

I'll try not to take your post as an attack on me. However, where in my original post did I say that I really wanted to work for them? I figured I would use the vast amount of knowledge here to figure out who they are so as not to waste my time if they indeed turned out to be a scumbag operator. There are some of those out there, you know. While my friend is well meaning and attempting to look out for me he may not know anything at all about the company other than they are looking for pilots. Now, I don't know about you, but there are some things in aviation I won't do. I won’t buy a job, I won’t endanger my certificates and I sure as he11 won’t work for someone who is going to treat my like crap and try to get me killed with substandard equipment and/or lousy maintenance. I don't love aviation THAT much.

Gotta love the RR Darts (Contract has the Allisons i think)...you'd think being so close to Mexico that there would be mad soccer but its far from it...so my bowling game has been recieving a lot of attention as of late...beer (Tecate) is on me when your down in the ELP...have fun up there in the FL's

I wouldnt call it 340 "time" so much as a token flight as to add it to the list of aircraft flown.

How is the biz down that way? I hope to make it there soon, I'll be in DFW for the next 2 and 1/2 weeks.

Any chance he was referring to the Convair operator out of Columbus, Indiana? Rhoades Aviation, I believe.
