What an opportunity!

Did anyone read the first post on one of those web sites? They are selling $300 chemtrail busters. I'll just sell them elctro-magnets, they'll buy them and if by chance they come to their senses, they did by a valid product.

I read once that the military had a way of predicting where (altitude) contrails would begin to form, thus allowing them to remain below that altitude if possible during ingress/egress. If I remember correctly, this was during Dessert Shield / Storm. Is there truth to this or just wishful thinking?

Yeah, it's something that is in the standard weather brief. Along with all the info such as flight level winds and cloud decks, the weather shop provides us with the levels where CONtrails are expected to form. Most of the time, is pretty close and we can either fly below or above those levels if we don't want to con.

Oh boy....

Well, I give them credit, at least they finally got the balls to post on a real aviation forum. But here's what they are saying about our responses:

"I think that there has been enough responses to these posts to draw the following conclusions.

"Many pilots have indeed heard of chemtrails (I won’t say ALL, because that is clearly impossible, but clearly the majority of pilots on the internet have heard of chemtrails)
There does not appear to be widespread public acknowledgement of the existence of chemtrails from the aviation community.

"At this point it is impossible to tell if the general lack of response to the various posts made was due to:

"Fear of adverse consequences from speaking out;
General lack of activity on the various forum sites;
Lack of interest in the subject (i.e. sheeplementality)"

As usual, the typical conspiratorial reasons to discount the response they have received (nearly unanimous in saying these guys are nuts). Either we're afraid of getting fired, lack of activity on the forum (here? yeah right), or we're all "sheeple" being led to our deaths by Big Brother.

Here's yet another thread over there that essentially starts off in the direction that the F-16/C172 collision a few years back on an MTR was entirely the fault of the "AF killers". Too bad that since no one over there has any clue about aviation, that they don't understand that "see and avoid" is a two way street.

This discussion is way too deep and complicated for a line pilot. I will offer this observation. The first time I was at 450 was in 1984, the vis was unbelievable and you could see the curvature of the earth. Now there is a haze and it is very yucky up there, I can't get to 450 but I do spend a bunch of time at 410. When you fly like to Kuwait the vis aloft is fantastic especially if you come over Turkey and fly North of Iraq. Here in the US that doesn
t exist. Interesting I'll let you geeks figure out why.

I stopped being concerned about chemtrails once I started wearing the tinfoil hat

Can't say I buy into the chemtrails thing, but I've seen/heard first hand of a couple of strange "big brother" things.

About 6-8 years ago, there was a lot of Blackhawk traffic out of EFD in Houston. Blackhawks that were painted dark gray or black (not the typical ANG & Army colors on the other helicopters I've seen), with many extended tanks and other antennas hanging off flying night missions out of a small reserve base? Didn't seem like their typical fly to Hooks for lunch and fuel, fly to Ft Hood or do autorotations during daylight stuff.

The NASA WB-57 was making flights over Houston (FL 600 or something like that) spraying water vapor a few years ago. Supposedly checking upper level wind patterns! Sounded strange at the time, but I'm sure they were doing some worthwhile govt funded atomospheric research. I'm sure this started a lot of these chemtrails stories.

Last, for the big brother encounters, a buddy of mine was flying his RV-6 along the Texas Gulf Coast (near San Louis pass) and was intercepted by a RPV (drone). He said it made a couple of passes by him, then flew alongside him for 30 seconds or so, then broke off and accelerated away.

They're doing some things we aren't being told about. I'm *sure* it's all in our best interest!

I grew up about 27 nm north of CLT (Charlotte NC) As a kid in the early and mid 1970's, I could somtimes count 15-25 contrails.
nothing has changed- there is no cemtrails- If you guys really want to know the truth, infiltrate the pilot community by taking flying lessons and get your license.-- Oh yeah, I forgot, turbulence is a goverment conspiracy to- so I guess you can't do that.
But for real guys- get away from the drugs and the computer screen and maybe logic will return to your minds. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Chemtrails?
Why sure there is such thing as chemtrails. I know many pilots that are highly trained, and paid well for it.

There are two types of chemtrails. The first one is vary important to feeding this world. It's applied at 5 to 15 feet above the crop canopy. The second one is bad and can be caused by poor pilot technique, or equipment malfunction. This one comes from trailing chemical around the turn, or drift from the application being done in high winds, or temperature inversion.

The only Government involvement in Chemtrails is to educate the applicator through the PAASS program to prevent drift.

Like the airline business we were hurt by 9/11 also. Due to poor press information the public really thinks that an ag-plane can be used as a weapon. But so was a van (FBI Building in OK city). and what about a terrorist on a bicycle with a backpack nuc.

Before 9/11 I guess it could have been possible to use an ag-plane for a weapon. But, I think the terrorist were smart enough to know that it just wasn't distructive enough. After 9/11 all ag-pilots and ground crew were armed and would have had no problem popping a cap into any raghead that came around.
The End!

Hey I wonder if the unmarked 55 gallon drums of fuel additive that we get from the Government every week has anything to do with this? We just pour it in the tanks and don't ask any questions. Don't want to get in trouble with the Feds or anything.

Hope somebody can get to the bottom of this...

Black Helicopters again...

Flywithastick...

All Army aircraft, be they Guard, Reserve or active duty, are painted dark green. The newer aircraft in particular look almost black. The older Black Hawks and Hueys had a greener paint job, but since about the late 1980s, all the newer aircraft have come out of the factory with a very dark green paint job. I flew Army Guard helos out of New Orleans Lakefront airport, and we got a couple calls each year from weirdos complaining about our "black, unmarked CIA helicopters".

As for the tanks and antennas, the older UH-60A Black Hawks weren't equipped to carry any of that. Since about the early 1990s, the Army has been trying to modernize the Guard/Reserve with the newer UH-60L, which comes standard with the ESSS system. Many A model Hawks have been modified to carry the ESSS system as well. The ESSS is essentially a removeable stub wing that can be used to carry up to four external fuel tanks. And in recent years, they've been upgrading the Hawk fleet with new radios and other gear. Some of those "antennas" you see are actually ASE (Aviation Survival Equipment); radar/IR jammers, chaff and flare dispensers and radar warning receivers.

The "black helicopter" conspiracy theory is just another example of people trying to make a conclusion about something they know little or nothing about. I have an in-law who cornered me once and started asking questions about those "FBI helicopters" that had the "radar cameras", and she said they were flying around looking for everyone's guns so when the UN shock troops come, they know who's house to search....kid you not...to say the least, my jaw dropped for a bit.

Then I explained to her the unmarked helicopters were ours, from the Guard facility about 30 miles east of her town out of Esler Field near Alexandria, LA. She replied, rather suprised, "well, they didn't have Army written on them anywhere"....sure they did, but it's hard to see a one-foot high "United States Army" in flat black on a very dark green tailboom from the ground....

As for night missions...about half of all Army helo missions are at night...there is a huge emphasis on NVG operations. They Army is the only branch of service I'm aware of that certs all of its pilots in NVG ops prior to graduating flying school. Since I flew medevac, NVG ops weren't quite as big a deal (although about a third of our flying time was at night), but the Black Hawk unit next door to us flew nearly every night.

I actually got to check out the WB-57....really interesting airplane. They parked right next to us at Kelly Field in San Antonio. They had on the whole pressure suit thing. The back-seater started talking to us first because he had an application in to fly for the USAF. They flew home to Houston in a regular flight suit...apparently, if they stay below FL500, they don't have to put on the pressure suit.

I do have to admit, it's a very strange sight to see taxi up to you on the ramp....the wings droop, and those engines are huge in comparison with the rest of the airplane. All that thrust and they said they could only get to about 70,000 MSL. A new set of engines is supposed to boost that to about 75-80k.

Strange airplanes

I once saw a Fokker F-100 take off with the flaps up! Must've been some sort of alien technology...:D

And I don't know how anyone could avoid the obvious conclusion that the UH-60 is part of some evil CIA plot...I mean, it's got the word Black right in its name!
