Can someone please give some ideas of current day rates for Lear Jet PIC and SIC for contract work?

Thanks!

Depends on the part of the country, model of Lear, and the type of operation. I'd say $600 a day for PIC minimum, $400 for typed SIC, $300 for non typed(but qualified in type) SIC. This is for aircraft in the LR-JET type...not 45's or 60's.

This is for contract all over the country... in Lear 20 series. PIC qulaified and typed.

Thanks

Again, it depends on the part of the country we're talkin. Rates in Podunk Iowa are generally going to be lower than in NYC just as a result of what people are willing to pay. I'd say go with the $600 a day rate. Negotiate from there, if necessary(and you're willing to). My contract rate does not vary, unless they plan to use me for 4 or more days in a row. Then it drops slightly. I used to charge $600 for light jets, and had no shortage of work. I now only do mid-size contract work...not current in any light jets anymore.

20 series guys are harder to find than 30 series these days it seems. If you have legitimate PIC time in 20 series, and are qualified/competent in all the 20 series, you should be able to get a decent rate....unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be much demand these days for 20 series guys.
