I've searched PARC and a few other contract companies. It seems like there is a high demand for Airbus pilots. Any companies hiring B737 pilots? Also, for captain positions, are the PIC in type requirements firm, or will they take someone with, oh, 0 pic in type, but 1800 pic in a CRJ?

For what I have seen in the past and the contracts that I researched when I was looking for a job abroad is that not only are the minimums solid but in the majority of the cases nowhere near competitive, you not only have competition from pilots all over the world but also a lot of competition from experienced pilots in the US looking for opportunities now. But apply for everything there is out there, nothing would give me more satisfaction that being proven wrong.

Good luck

PS: for F/O positions is another story though!

Hey CesnaCapn... how's this for an answer - close to 3000 hours in the right seat of 737NG's, and no PIC time. No shot at the left seat abroad.
