I heard CAL is looking for a Q-400 operator? Any word on the street? SkyWest maybe?

Skywest has indeed submitted their bid to Continental to operate for them using Q-400s. I know most won't believe this but it's true. This rumor has been going on for sometime and I never believed it until I recently heard someone in management finally confirm this.

In related news, I hear that Horizon just sold like 15 Dash 8's to CommutAir with options for more for their Continental flying.

Darn, and I was hoping for the Shorts 360.

I was part of a conversation with a union rep of ours at AWAC a few weeks back and he said management asked that the union develop a t-prop pay scale as well as a b-scale. He only mentioned the Q400 Continental flying...and, yes, that's all that was discussed. Not sure how serious AWAC is/was on this topic, but it seems we were interested at one point.
