What do you mean? You're saying Reserve is not duty, and also is not rest? I didn't know there was anything but those two options. You are either at rest, or on duty. What's the third option?

Reserve can't be rest because you are required to be contactable, so that makes it duty.

I got off IOE on the 737 in EWR the first week of February and am already holding a line for March....which equals 3 weeks on reserve.

Reserve can't be rest because you are required to be contactable, so that makes it duty.

I was just going by what our contract says. However, after doing some research, I think it would be considered duty. I guess the key is that you get the required rest before you accept an assignment. Sorry for the mixup.
