The latest class of 12 new hires started Tuesday, Sept. 6th. They came from...

Eight were awarded the B756 EWR. The remaining four will be on the B737 EWR. The next class will have 16 new hires starting Sept. 13th.

Has anyone during this new wave of hiring been hired at CAL from a corporate flight department? I was in the pool in Mar. of 2000 as a flow-thru when CAL put the brakes on all hiring.....left XJT for UAL and the rest is....well...sucks! Do I stand a chance or am I stuck in this corporate world forever?

I was furloughed from USAir and flew a Lear for the last three years. I start class with CAL on the 13th. I thought I would never get out either. Keep the faith.

That is not the breakdown for the class that starts on the 13th.

Sorry about the confusion.

The date should be Sept. 6th, not the 13th. The other info is correct. The next two classes will be the 13th and the 20th with 16 in each class.

Do you know the age span of the last class and the most junior pilot's seniority number?

Do you think there will still be a class that will go all 757? I bet getting off reserve will take forever in that equipment.
