Can any pilots advise on j/s procedures for international flights? I called a Continental non-rev # (866-359-3737) and asked if I needed to list for a j/s. Agent said “no, do it at the ticket counter or gate.” I knew I needed to stop by the ticket counter to pay the international departure tax (traveling from foreign country to U.S.) but when I arrived at the counter, agent said I should have previously listed for the j/s….
She listed me, but not happy to do it. Luckily, I saw the crew and Capt said “not to worry, we’ll get you home”!
Any help is appreciated.

Most gate agents think offline pilots can list via computer just like . Just keep reminding them that you are offline and don't have the capability to list and phone reservation will not list. Just show up a few hours early. Counter or Gate, but if you are flying from international to US, then list at the counter.

Sadly, they will put you back in coach even with an empty first class unless the captain has a pair and will put you up front.
