So, Not only is Continental cutting capacity, but the two top execs are foregoing their salaries for the rest of the year. I know its more of a gesture than anyting else, but its a nice gesture.

Nice gesture huh.........1 of the top two execs (initials JS, look up CAL on Google Finace to read about him) is retiring at the end of August. He not only has his golden chute packed, he is at the door waiting for the green light. There has been rumblings that the other (initials LK) will be leaving at the end of December. No sh!T they are not going to take their salaries for the rest of the year. Their payouts cover that and then some. Along with the bonuses, perks, and benefits they will get, now they do not have to pay taxes on their salaries for the rest of the year.

Its nice, as soon as CAL starts to experience the problems that these two set up, it looks like they are bailing. Airline Exec 101......take all the money the guys before you saved (Gordon Bethune), give it to your shareholders. Take more from your employees and give some to you and the shareholders. Slowly set up the company for failure as you pad you pocket and the pockets of the shareholders, and then poof bailout just before the fall. Good luck CAL
