The guy in the back of your jet is also making more that day than the sum total of the entire pay earned by every Netjets pilot on duty that day.
For example, Ford Motor Co. on Thursday said it awarded new Chief Executive Alan Mulally compensation of $39.1 million for four months of work in 2006, a year when the second-largest U.S. automaker posted a $12.7 billion loss.
When you guys go a vacation or visit Aunt Marge, you fly commercial just like everyone else. You might be flying on miles, but you're not in the back of a Citation X. You guys might think you live in the fast lane, but you're just hired help like the butler or the limo driver. I know....I've been there done that...TEB-ACK-BOS-ACK-HPN-MVY.....or if it's winter, TEB-PBI-MMU-FLL.................................................
Well, not necessarily true...yes, we of course fly in the back of an airliner but we also have the advantage of flying on one of our empty flights to anywhere they are going. 250 empty flights a day and most are scheduled in the computer make it a nice "private" airline. Not a sole on board..
