Unless the pilot in question is financially independent, he/she is going to upgrade at the first possible moment. All it takes is one look at the pay difference between a year 4 F/O and Capt.

If I was looking at the prospect of being an FO for X number of years, I'd want to be as comfortable as possible. To pass up an upgrade in an Ultra or 400xp because it's now somehow beneath you? Well, then, you deserve the wait.

There's NO such thing as a/an Hawker 400xp. Its a BeechJet and will ALWAYS be a Beechjet. Whew!! that felt better.

Hence why I put "Hawker" in quotation marks. We all know it's a Mistubishi/Beechcraft/Raytheon Diamond 400XP.
