I'm seriously toying with the idea of sending an application to Netjets so I'm doing what research I can. It seems that the Hawker would be the jet of choice according to what I'm reading on the board here. I'm also fine with the domicile issue since they seem to be hiring into CMH and LAX, because I live in CMH already and would like to stay there.

I was just wondering what the pay situation is like for a rookie and what the bennies are, also what the QOL would be like and if the 7/7 schedule is better than the reserve schedule or the other way around. I'm having trouble locating any concrete info on these subjects. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Check out www.airlinepilotcentral.info and look at the fractional section for pay, etc. Click on "airlines" first and then look for the fractional section.

If you apply, and if you get invited to interview, and if they offer you a job, and if they offer you the Falcon, take it. Falcon FO is the best job in the company, pay notwithstanding.

7/7 vs reserve schedules is a personal choice. Do you want to know your schedule 4.5 years in advance? Go 7/7. Want more coin? Reserve.

QOL overall is good, but it depends on the airplane. See the other thread for more info on that.

Uh, which Hawker do you mean? The Hawker 800XP or the "Hawker" 400XP? :D

Good luck with your research. PM me if you've got questions that I might be able to help you with.

There's NO such thing as a/an Hawker 400xp. Its a BeechJet and will ALWAYS be a Beechjet. Whew!! that felt better.

When was the last time a new hire was assigned the Falcon? Does it matter if they came from a Falcon Background?

This is kind of a weird question, but if you had a choice, is starting in the Falcon too high to set your standards? What I mean is most likely a low seniority person will first upgrade to Captain in a smaller aircraft like the Encore or 400XP; if that person is a FO in the Falcon, will they even want to take the Encore or 400XP or will they rather wait 6 or so years for a Falcon Captain slot so they don't have to settle for any lesser of what they are accustomed to?
