Was wondering if, on Jepp Charts,

Blue means Precision Approaches

Green means Non-Precision

Brown means no approach

Is this correct? I have looked @ the legend but when I look at a chart from an area that I know I see a green airport and there are definately a non precision aproach for that airport.

I have asked this question before and get all kind of wild answers. Does anyone know for sure????

Thanks much!!!

From the Jeppesen Introduction, Page 58C rev 18Jan02
(also Introduction United States-2 rev 7Aug98)

New Chart Series Low and High/Low Altitude Enroute & Area Chart Legend

"Location name--IFR airport in blue, published procedure filed under this name."

"Location nave--VFR airport in green, no procedure published by Jeppesen."

the govt (noaa) charts have the blue/green/brown:

blue - iap w/ defense dept mins (ie in dod and civ books)
green - iap w/o defense dept mins (ie in civ books only)
brown - no iap
