Prepare and file flight plans for all destinations. Review and calculate aircraft weight and balance, fuel requirements, and performance figures for airports of intended use. Ensure all operations conducted within the capabilities fo the aircraft and the crew and with utmost regard for safety of flight. General duties to include but are not limited to, schedules and other directives governing the aircraft’s operation, preflight inspections are performed, study current and forecast weather conditions at departure, enroute, destination and alternate airports, making arrangements for overnight lodging, catering orders and fuel availability including discounts for each flight.
Employee will assist with the various assigned flight, and travel task and may accept other administrative duties assigned by the Chief Pilot to assure safe and superior service to ConAgra Foods personnel and customers on a daily basis.
Must have complete working knowledge of all aircraft systems, how they operate normally, and all procedures used in emergency situations in the event of a system malfunction.
- A minimum of 5,000 hours of total flight time.
- Flight time should include a minimum of 2,000 hours pilot-in-command of multi-engine aircraft, of which 1,000 hours shall be in a jet-powered aircraft.
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
- First Class FAA Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Telephone Operator Permit.
- Appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
