Great. Comair is owned by the same company you are. They are both ALPA. And Comair has almost 300 pilots on furlough and you are hiring. Great job ALPA!

I think I remember something about comair doing the samething back....

It has to be mentioned. After the way Comair pilots treated Delta pilots post-9-11 (requiring Delta resignation to get hired at Comair while on furlough), Comair pilots should never expect "an easy path" to Delta. I am sure there are exceptions. Maybe that will change with the NWA blood, but the Delta pilots I know who have some influence still have long-term memories... Sad to say, but a bunch of old Comair dorks poisoned the well for a lot of good pilots.
 
Exactly! It's all about what's negotiated. If preferential hiring at a sister carrier is important to your pilot group then you should have negotiated for it. ALPA works for you. You tell them what you want from the company and they try and get it.
 
For those of you who received the thanks, but no thanks e-mail: how long was it from the time you applied until the e-mail?
