I was reading one of the other posts about furloughed pilots getting called regarding interest in a job at Compass. Does anyone know about hiring minimums over there? Standard I would guess.

All hiring is in house until probably 2010, unless they are short. NWA guys first then XJ/9E, then the outside world. Mins will probably be ATP like if it's the ERJ.

Compass minimums:

-Furloughed mainline Northwest pilot
-Willing to return to fly for half the pay you used to make

Why would you want to work for any company associated with NWA?

Their pilots haven't even accepted the TA to allow Compass yet...

looks like compass is gonna be at the air inc job fair in 01/2007.
are they going to be hiring off the street?

Here is the plan....all mesa pilots, give your 2 weeks notice and quit on the same day. Then go to the Job fair and get new jobs at Compass or Atlas or XXX. Let JO and his family to clean up his mess.

I am seriously thinking about applying to Compass, but I have no idea of minimums or pay. I know some of that information is on the NWA mainline contract. If there is anybody that could clarify that for me I would appreciate.
Thanks

The NW MEC negotiating committee is in the process of writing a full text agreement right now. The basis for the agreement is the current PCL agreement with alterations where term sheet items conflict. The term sheet items can probably be found on this forum by useing the search button.

You are completely wrong on that count. The Compass CBA will be substantially better than PCL.

Once you go red, you will never really feel clean again.

Just a question. Without these things how can one "seriously think of applying"?

It sounds appealing to me, but all I know are rumors. I was wondering if there is any solid information on the company besides what your mom's friend that's married to your cousin that heard from somebody that he met yesterday that compass.....

given the type of equipment they will be flying i highly doubt theyre minimums will be much less than RAH's high mins at 1500 and 300.......with that being said they may have trouble finding furloughed NWA'rs who are willing to work on a regional payscale and may eventually have to lessen the requirments a bit

Why would furloughed NWA's go there when they'll all be back online within a few months anyway? Maybe for PIC time and then try another airline?? Only reason I could think of.

Mr. I.

i agree...my point was everyone claims that NWA is already almost through theyre furlough callbacks (2nd round) and very few people have come back....where are the Captains gonna come from? They cant possibly set theyre minimums that high and expect all that many apps with SKYW and RAH hiring as much as they are....

Seems as if the 175's could end up at Pinnacle or Mesaba or even mainline. Could be a short upgrade if they stay under Compass and slowly add airplanes to the fleet.
