From my own experiences, never count on them as being updated. Over the past year, I've contacted many companies just to find out they are not hiring pilots even though their website(s) say they are hiring.
The only ones that seem to usually update their websites are regional airlines. I don't know about the majors...never checked b/c I don't have near enough experience. But then again, in this job market I don't have enough experience to take someone on a frickin air ride.
One company from recent memory is Flight Express. Their website states they're hiring pilots but when I called, they were not (this was awhile ago so maybe they are now)
Best bet is to call and find out.
