Commutair question

Does Commutair or any other Beech 1900 airline have Flight attendants?? I'm guessing if they do they only have one? How about the RJ's at expressJet??

Yes, a little known fact is that CommutAir BE-1900s do in fact have flight attendants. In their spare time they moonlight as first officers as well :D .

I guess that Champlain Enterprises is set to open a FBO facility here in Albany (according to an article I read in the newspaper). Does this mean that CommutAir is stronger from a corporate perspective? From posts in the past, I came to understand that CA was a bit overstaffed and wouldn't be interviewing for a while. Maybe things have changed...

As previously suggested, every Part 121 1900 in the U.S. has a flight attendant - he/she sits right next to the PIC. You can tell any pilot who's flown the 1900 for any lenght time because that person can brief any emergency exit in less than 2.1 seconds.

I have actually heard a rumor that an airline in Australia operates their 1900's with a dedicated flight attendant and even a lav, which is an option on corporate 1900's from Raytheon.

Quite a few airlines outside of the US have F/A's on the 1900. They take the closet out for an F/A seat, and row 9, to put in a lav.
