Thanks for the info everybody...Sounds like the type of place I'd like to be working...A few more questions, though...How many airplanes is Commutair flying at the moment? Where are new FOs based? Do any pilots commute? What is the cost of living in upstate NY? Thanks again for all of the replies.

The curent count is 17 (maybe 18) aircraft.

Almost everyone is in ALB. Some go to Rochester. Plattsburgh is senior.

Most pilots commute. Although most are from the northeast, there is a large number from Florida, the midwest and the west coast. That being said, while it is possible to commute (I do it), it does suck and I would avoid it. Move to your base if you can.

I can't comment too much on cost of living. My crashpad is about $150/month and from talking with other guys in crashpads, the cost seems to run between $150-$250/month depending on the arrangements. Albany is more expensive than central Florida but less expensive than the Boston area if that helps at all.
