Just a quick question if anyone at CA can help me with. I leave for training Sunday morning Feb.13th, and I just wanted to know if you have to have your uniform before the end of your training?

Thanks in advance.

You will get all the info you need for uniforms in ground school. You dont need a uniform till IOE, I ordered mine 2 weeks into ground school and had no problems

Hows CommutAir doing these days?

How are they doing? how many planes do they have? Is there anything left in PLB?

Do you want a cap? I have a CommutAir FO Cap, size 7 1/2, from Bancroft. I paid $36, but I'll let it go for $15. PM me.

And, as FlynSuperD said, no need to stress about the uniform. All the information you need will be presented to you in ground school. Once you know your simulator and IOE schedules, you can decide to ship the uniform home or to your hotel. No biggie.

Welcome aboard. Look around, enjoy yourself, stay a while.

Also about CA uniforms: They are the same as any of the US Air carriers (mainline, WO, CHQ, Mesa ect) and also ACA so if someone from one of these places is selling uniform parts you may be able to get them cheap.

21 Airplanes

CA world headquarters is still in PLB and I think 8 or 9 crews based up there. PLB is now an EAS city which covers the costs of flying in there. MX is now in ALB.

Incremental additions to the CLE hub. Recently began supplimenting XJT on CLE-ROC and soon to take over all CLE-DTW flying.

We had a Jan 31st class, and obviously a Feb 14th class. Rumors of a March 14th class as well.

Constant talk of cabin class aircraft (when wasn't there talk of them?).

Rodawg -

Don't stress about the uniform. As everyone else says, you'll get the info when you start class. Don't know about how quick stuff comes for new-hires, but when I have had to order stuff from them, it has never taken more than a week. Just ordered some more shirts on Tuesday, and they came Friday.

Just some advice, there is no need to go overboard and order everything. Many guys don't wear hats (personally I kind of like it - but many don't). The most common thing that everyone here seems to have is a sweater and a trenchcoat. If you decide to get the blazer, get at least one pair of slacks to match. But in the summer, you don't wear the blazer and you can find some decent navy slacks that match close enough and cost a lot less.

Good luck in class and welcome aboard.

I have a BARELY used trenchcoat I'll sell you for half of what I paid for it new.

PM me is interested

I really miss the "non-uniform" standards at Commutair. My hat sat in my trunk the entire time I was there and I don't think I wore the blazer more than twice. (And nobody cared!) I personally liked the blue fleece pull-over on top of the uniform shirt look, but I couldn't afford the fleece on FO pay.

And a word of advice, if you're going to get an overcoat, get the 3/4 length one. I bought the full length one with the rest of my uniform and d@mn near busted my @ss tripping over it everytime I walked up the airstairs. That being said, if anyone wants a lightly used, full length blue overcoat, send me a message!

I have a brand new, NEVER BEEN WORN, with the tags still on, fo blazer size 46 regular and a hat used for 1 month size 7-1/8 that I will sell cheap. The colors are the Commutair colors. PM me.

Dude, I got it all, commutair "official" sweater, trenchcoat, hat, the whole nine yards, I'll give you a great deal. pm me
