The FARs say that if you have a private with 200 hours in powerd aircraft and meet the glider training requirements, you are eligible for the comm checkride in a glider. My silly question is if I have a private with 200 hours and pass the comm ride in a glider, will I then have two tickets; comm and a private?

You will have one certificate: Commercial Pilot Certificate: Glider, and Private Privileges: Airplane Single Engine Land
