So if we're not competitive at this rate are you willing to take another cut to be more attractive. If Mesa goes lower are you willing to take another cut? When will it end?

There are two possible ways to end this horrible cycle once for all, 1. Must take a HUGE pay cut, something like FO $7.25/hr. and CA $20.75/hr., I am sure that will drive the mighty Mesa Empire out of business. 2. Start to pray, hopefully some how Mesa pilots will go on strike to save the entire industry. Other than that, I really don’t see any other ways to stop the mighty Mesa Empire.

Lets just say a crazy thing happened and all the other regional pilot groups came together and refused to touch any CMR flying. Who would be responsible for rallying all the troops together? ALPA? If so....nevermind.

How could a pilot group refuse to touch that flying? If you refused to do your IAH-CAE flight...don't you think your chief pilot would have something to say about it? Refuse all you want...but if your company wins that business...and you don't show up to work, expect to do a rug dance in the chief's office.

I know its unrealistic. I'm just talking about if the pilot groups, as a whole, through ALPA made it known that none of them will fly airplanes or routes from someone in Comair's position. I'm not talking about 1 pilot refusing to do the flying.

Management can accept all the flying they want, but what are they gonna do when nobody will do the flying? Everyone hires completely new work forces?

Something needs to prevent the undercutting and cannibalization thats going on.

I KNOW ITLL NEVER HAPPEN, but just wonder what any sort of unification at all would do for the industry.

Keep dreaming. There are too many pilots willing to fight for scraps for this to ever happen.

I'm sorry CMR, but your fate has already been decided. When you vote. Vote with your hearts and minds, but remember....Pilots don't buy airplanes. The big D is just using your situation to siphen more money out of your pocket. You've been dealt this hand before (pay freeze for growth) and it came back to bite you in the ass. Don't get suckered into another trap. Stay strong. Vote NO.

Good luck Comair, you are a great bunch of guys.

All Regional Pilots need to take a stand or we all will be in the food stamp line instead of the unemployment line......Employees do not need to subsidize the operation of the company or the lack of good management or overcapacity issues!!!!!!! Enough is enough!

Comair guys let us ASA guys down on the the last LOA screwing us ASA folk...now us ASA guys are going to take a stand and tell MGMT NO MORE!!!!! I suggest you do the same at Comair! They already fooled you once are you going to let it happen again?

The problem is that when we stand up for what is right, we go the way of Comair/ExpressJet/Mesaba and lose what we had! Planes start disappearing to SKYW, Mesa and CHQ/REP/SA start more and more flights out od ATL, we furlough and then they remove 70 airplanes from our fleets! We cant win! Thats what sucks! They wont give us the fair contract we are fighting for, and if they do...we price ourselves out of the market, hence existance!

I'm not drinking any kool-aid here, just being realistic for the first time. Either way we at ASA are F*@k#d! I'm gonna fight along side the rest of you, but I'm afraid we're fighting an uphill battle. Just look around, not only at the majors but our other regionals. We have to become Mesa or be replaced by them. For me, I'm not willing!
