I've searched the forums and have a few questions for current info regarding Comair. During training do you: get paid and get a hotel room? When do you become eligible for health benefits (how much a month for a family of 4?)? What is third year FO pay. What have recent upgrade times been and do you enjoy working for Comair. Thanks.

You will get 7 nights of hotel paid for.... If you get assigned CVG, you are on your own after that. If you get any other base, you will get hotel for the entire time.

Health benefits are effective after 30 days I believe... I paid about $110 per month for my wife and myself...

3rd year FO pay is $38ish on the 50 seater and $42ish on the 70.

Recent upgrade times have been in the 3-4 year point I think for GSO and JFK.. 5-6 years for CVG.. That's off the top of my head and could be off a bit.

I enjoyed the year and a half I was at Comair. Great company overall with a great pilot group.

Me too I have a few questions I haven't found answers for using search; I'm looking at jumping ships from my current airline.

Which bases are junior and senior?

Also do you get paid the minimum guaranty hours from the first day of ground school, or do you start getting paid after training is over? How long is training?

Cancel pay? Duty pay?

How long before you are senior enough to hold a line?

Is there a lot of attrition? Plannned growth?

Thanks

Buck

I guess I'm the only lazy SOB home today answering Comair questions.

Junior base is JFK and GSO.. MCO is very senior and CVG is senior as well

You get a very sh!tty training pay of $240 per week until you start IOE. Training is about 3 months.. Comair takes things VERY slowly..

We do have a duty rig but it's not very good. It's a monthly thing... If you're a line holder you get pay protected for all cancelations but not if you're on reserve.

People getting lines today have been with the company about 14 months.. That will probably shrink as more airplanes come.. Planned growth is about 35 airplanes over the next couple years.

Not much attrition...

Where did you go chperplt?

Congrats on Allegiant Air. Are the trips and work rules better there? The pay seems pretty close.

The trips are all out and backs and I live in base..No commuting and home every night... 1000% increase in QOL!
