Hi all,

I was wondering if any of you Comair new hire got JFK as a base yet?
Also, how junior JFK base is/will be, and one more, how Comair aword bases to new hired,do they go by age, by last 4 digits of ss#, or what???

Thanks.

JFK is senior and junior depending on what you want. I choose it as it enables me to drive to work instead of a two leg commute to cvg. You should have no problem getting jfk. JFK and the CL-700 are going to new hires.

Thanks Mike767,

How about choosing your base, how is that done?
Another words, who choose first in class, the older new hired,
or the one with lower/higher ss#???
Please explain.

Thx.

Thank you!

How many crews are they going to have @ JFK?,
and also, will they have both 200's and 700' at JFK?, or only CRJ200's?

Thx.

JFK will intially have 80 FO's and CA's and is due for more expansion. The 700 is a strong possiblity and they are not dumping money into JFK for nothing. Just the parking alone is costing the company a substantial amount which equates to how serious they want us in NYC.

I was hired in March held top 50% and also got to hold a line in JFK.UBA757

I was told that most crews (FO'S) will be in JFK by October first. Not looking for a fight just stating what I was told by people making crew decisions in the company.UBA757

UBA

I was curious because had I stayed, I was JFK bound. I was 25 (I think) on the list and the person below me got shafted next month with the sh!ttiest reserve line I've ever seen.

Send out a base bid for nearly 80 crews and then after the bid let people know they will be going in pieces. Not very fair to the senior people who get stuck on reserve.

Enjoy JFK...I'm going to miss that cafeteria!!!!

80 crews???
expansion????

where the hell did you get that???

it is 72 crews, and who said anything about expansion???

I know people that took voluntary furlough rather than stay working in JFK....

Why would you dig up a four year old thread that wasn't that great to begin with?

HHHmmm,

4 yr old thread. Comair will have more than 350 pilots on furlough by this fall.

Everything at Comair is senior.

Now close this utterly stupid thread.
