Comair Pay-Cuts in CVG

Just when you thought Fred and the "boys" were all with everyone in joining in to get their expected pay cuts like all the good "troopers"; word and document flying around the CVG Terminal and G.O. evidences that many are getting salary INCREASES, just before the expected salary reductions go into effect, thereby helping to keep the favored group of people at the same salary levels.
Meanwhile, the average hard-working group who believed the management to the point that EVERYONE was getting pay reductions, just became aware that some of those "good old boys" were going to get pay raises before they "took their pay reductions" like everyone else does!!
Sounds pretty typical for life at Comair and Delta these days. I guess Fred learned the tricks well in Atlanta before he came to CVG!

In today's tough airline climate, retention of talent is paramount.

I think you were being sarcastic Ganja, but -- like it or not -- that is how it is viewed.

Corporations in bankruptcy are very concerned about losing management "talent" which is, in their estimation difficult to come by.

Pilots on the other hand are easily replacable. Just look at this message board. For any given job opening there are thousands upon thousands of qualified applicants.

Whoa there.. NOT EVERYONE agrees they deserve it.. Besides, why hide it?? It's leaked out in paper form now and being circulated around the offices. Meanwhile, the poor working believing bastards that have no pay raises in 2-3 years are taking their cuts as well ! Sorry, lots of well-deserved and long-standing Comair employees just got duped again!
